In the Golzentipp family ski area, the family ski day begins right outside the front door. Children and beginners in particular will find excellent conditions in this compact and therefore very family-friendly ski area. And the cosy, listed farming village of Obertilliach is also considered a real ‘snow hole’.
Anyone who climbs the local mountain of the clustered village for the second time is already known. Parents don’t have to worry in the slightest that their children will get lost – even if they stop off at the Conny-Alm at the mountain station with its beautiful sun terrace to enjoy traditional dishes and homemade pastries alongside the unique view of the Carnic Alps, the Lienz Dolomites and the entire Lesach Valley. WINTER
Family ski resort
There are a total of five lifts and almost 13 kilometres of sunny slopes covering 38 hectares of piste area.
NEW: Children’s area at the Himbeergoll lift, where the ski school meeting point is also located and parents can relax and watch their children take their first turns from the terrace of the Almfamily Hotel Scherer. A large archway marks the entrance to the new children’s adventure playground in Obertilliach from afar. Wave track, series of jumps, figures as turn indicators, and much more. A separate children’s track at the practice lift also improves access for the little ones, allowing them to get up the mountain even faster to enjoy the new Kinderland as often as possible. Ski storage facilities are located directly at the valley station of the gondola lift.

Toboggan run
The 6.6 km long toboggan run provides winter fun for the whole family. Hop into the gondola and up the mountain. Once at the top, rent a toboggan and stop off at the Conny Alm. Then it’s time to start tobogganing. Get some momentum, put your feet up and off you go down into the valley.
Ski school & ski hire
At the Obertilliach ski school, everyone from young to old is in good hands. Here, everyone learns the perfect turn. At the Sport Auer ski hire, you can also hire equipment for the whole family.
Away from the slopes
It doesn’t always have to be skiing. There are many other adventures to be had in the snow. Whether it’s tobogganing, snowshoeing or building a snowman together.

Children’s league
Eleven small play areas for children along the family trail from the mountain station to Jochsee are the new attraction in the Golzentipp hiking area. These can also be reached with a pushchair.
Hiking area
From the mountain station, the trail leads to Jochsee and Kutte Schupfen, then on to Obertilliach’s mountain, the Golzentipp. At the top, you can enjoy a dreamlike view of the peaks with fantastic panoramic views.
